Synspective is expected to have a fast growing number of satellites in the near future. Each one of these satellites will produce thousands of images a year. Our department and unit is in charge of the data processing pipeline and want to assure that the produced images must comply with our product quality standard to be delivered to users.

Responsibility

Synspective is expected to have a fast growing number of satellites in the near future. Each one of these satellites will produce thousands of images a year. The produced images must comply with our product quality standard to be delivered to users. The task of this job is to assure the quality of daily produced images and test newly released processing pipelines

Details of work

  • Test the newly software versions and the quality of produced images including the SAR processing pipeline and its performance

  • Review and design processing procedure to improve the quality of the images and pipeline quality

  • Create standards and procedures for developers to follow

  • Report the quality to product stakeholders and engineers

  • Monitor quality of the produced images and the SAR image processing pipeline performance

Selling points of this role

  • Experience an entire data product life cycle as Synspective develops and operates ground systems as well, designs and manufactures satellites, and contacts with end-users of the satellite data

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside experts from various disciplines such as aerospace engineering, radar engineering, digital signal processing, software engineering, among others.

  • Participate in the stage of scaling our system from a few to dozens of satellites in spac

Job requirements

  • Can work at Synspective HQ office in Tokyo

  • Experience in software and product quality assurance and testing

  • Experience using Linux and Python

  • Knowledge and experience in signal processing and image processing

  • Educational background in physics, electrical/information or aerospace engineering

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience on remote sensing data

  • Experience in software development, preferably python

  • Have certifications for Software Testing (example: ISTQB certification)

  • Japanese language skill
