We are establishing Synspective Europe GmbH, a German based company which is currently looking for a Sales Engineer to cover the EMEA Region. The parent company is Tokyo, Japan based Synspective Inc. which is a vertically integrated SAR satellite constellation company, with 5 operational SAR small sats and growing to 30+ by 2030.

Synspective is hiring a technically strong, customer-facing Sales Engineer to accelerate commercial adoption of our SAR satellites, data products, analytics, and integrated solutions. This role combines technical pre-sales, multi-product solution design, RFP/technical documentation, PoC design, implementation and delivery, and ongoing account support to drive revenue and product-market fit across verticals (Defense & Intelligence, Energy, Maritime, Civil Government, Environment and others). You may be required to travel internationally up to 30-40% of the time.
Key responsibilities
Solution design — multiple-product opportunities
Define and present solutions that combine Synspective data, analytics, APIs, and partner products to address complex customer needs.
Prepare and present technical business-case decks to technical and executive stakeholders.
Influence solution strategy by identifying market gaps and recommending product or packaging changes.
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product and Operations to prioritize features and roadmap items that increase solution uptake.
Product proficiency and roadmap stewardship
Maintain deep, up-to-date knowledge of Synspective products, new releases and roadmap; drive early adoption of new features in customer engagements.
Produce technical notes and capability comparisons for internal teams and customers.
RFP reviews and technical documentation
Lead technical responses to RFPs and tenders; draft SOWs, system specifications.
Ensure technical clarity and compliance in proposals and contract documents.
Support multiple accounts for solution development
Provide concurrent technical support and for customer base implementing the defined solution, ensuring consistency, deliverables and customer expectations are met.
Capture and share best-practices, common configurations and issue resolutions across accounts.
Develop industry demo datasets, pitch decks and solutions.
Curate realistic, industry-specific demo datasets and build compelling technical-commercial pitch decks and live demos tailored to vertical use-cases.
Keep a library of demo assets to accelerate sales cycles.
Define PoC success criteria, run technical setups, validate outputs, and produce PoC reports that support commercial decisions.
Coordinate hand-off to Customer Success/Delivery teams with clear runbooks, acceptance tests and operational guidance.
Enablement and feedback loop
Train customers and channel partners on solution capabilities, demos and platforms.
Feed customer feedback, competitive intelligence and field insights into the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
Travel and stakeholder engagement
Attend customer meetings, industry conferences and technical workshops as required.
Job requirements
Master’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Computer Science or related technical field.
5+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solution architecture; experience in SAR, EO, Geospatial or adjacent analytics fields preferred.
Proven ability to design multi-product technical solutions and build business cases that link technical capabilities to economic value.
Experience writing RFP responses, SOWs and technical documentation for procurement or tender processes.
Hands-on familiarity with EO/SAR products or imagery workflows, cloud geospatial stacks, APIs and common toolchains (ArcGIS, QGIS or similar).
Strong presentation, demo and stakeholder-management skills across technical and executive audiences.
Excellent English, additional languages such as German, French or Spanish are a plus.
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience at EO/SAR companies (e.g., ICEYE, Capella, Umbra, Maxar, Vantor, Airbus, Planet, etc) or with commercial satellite/data providers.
Experience with cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerized services and production analytics/ML pipelines.
Track record of converting PoCs to paid deployments and influencing deal economics.
