Job description
Synspective is building a constellation of SAR satellites that will produce hundreds of images of the Earth every day. We are looking for a radar engineer to develop, implement and evaluate various algorithms for radar data processing, calibration and image quality assurance.
Responsibility:
As a senior radar engineer, you will not only work closely with other team members to improve our existing software for radar data processing, calibration, and image analysis, but also develop your own algorithms and put them into production. Together with other teams you will also commission newly launched satellites, and ensure their continuous operation and contribute to the design and development of future satellites’ radar systems.
Details of work:
Developing algorithms and software for processing and analyzing SAR images.
Calibration and validation of Synspective’s SAR satellites.
Analyzing the quality of SAR images.
Conducting design reviews and system engineering of future satellites’s radar systems.
Selling points of this role:
Develop advanced signal processing routines that can deal with large multi-gigabyte datasets.

Job requirements
PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, or Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience.
5 years of experience in SAR.
Deep knowledge of digital signal processing.
Experience in at least one programming language.
Good verbal and written English
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with InSAR.
Experience in working with large datasets.
Basic knowledge of software engineering (version control, unit testing, continuous integration).
Basic knowledge of Linux and cloud-computing providers such as GCP.
